Learning Public Relations
for Creatives and Creators
Public Relations has always fascinated me, not just as a tool for individuals, but as a powerful force that helps organizations, businesses, and creative projects grow and thrive. That’s why I enrolled in the “Public Relations for Creatives and Creators” course on Domestika, taught by PR coach Fiona Minett, who has worked on major events like The Brit Awards.
The course shed light on how PR can propel organizations forward, enabling them to build credibility, reach wider audiences, and connect meaningfully with their communities.
What the Course Covered
Fiona guided us through the process of building a custom PR toolkit designed for real-world application. This included:
- ✔ Writing impactful press releases that communicate a brand’s story clearly.
- ✔ Developing imagery and visual assets to support campaigns.
- ✔ Designing communication strategies tailored to organizations, creative teams, and projects.
- ✔ Running impactful PR campaigns that align with business and creative objectives.
My Reflection
One of the strongest lessons I took away was that PR is not limited to large corporations. Whether it’s a startup, NGO, creative collective, or cultural organization, PR is a practical way to position work, attract opportunities, and accelerate success.
This course highlighted that PR is really about strategic storytelling for growth — something that every organization, big or small, can benefit from.

I’m proud to have earned my certificate of completion in Public Relations for Creatives and Creators from Domestika. It’s a step that strengthens my ability to merge design, multimedia, and communication to support organizations and projects in achieving their goals.
